Buttermilk Biscuits Recipe

Ingredients
- • 2 cups all purpose flour
• 2 teaspoons baking powder
• 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
• 3/4 teaspoon salt
• 1/2 teaspoon sugar
• 1 stick frozen butter
• 1 cup buttermilk
Directions
- combine all dry ingredients
- use a whisk to mix and remove any lumps
- Use either a food processor or a grater to mix the frozen butter with the flour mixture
- Add buttermilk and mix until all ingredients have come together (don’t over mix)
- Roll dough out with a rolling pin and fold the dough several times (creates flaky layers)
- Use a Biscuit Cutter to cut your shapes
- Place biscuits on a parchment paper-lined cookie tray all biscuits should be touching (this helps them rise)
- place them in preheated oven at 375° for 18-20 minutes until tops are golden brown
- brush tops with melted butter and serve hot
